Clare Dyas, Founder
Clare is a trained and qualified counsellor and psychotherapist, with a passion for spiritual healing. Having delivered a wide range of therapies over the years, Clare realised that she wanted to do more for the wider community. Clare founded Space For You in 2009 after seeing a lack of public services available for a friend struggling with their emotional and mental health.
Derek Mace, Trustee
Derek spent the first half of his working life as a civil servant and the second half working in addiction recovery and homelessness. He is a co-founder of Bosence Farm Community and was the driving force in creating Boswyn’s, Cornwall’s only residential detox facility. Since retiring, his interests include boating, model railways and stozzys.com – a true life storytelling platform, where he is a director.
Nicola Hemsley, Trustee
Nicola is a qualified professional artist and teacher. After working as Head of Art for many years, she moved through senior management positions to become a Head Teacher. In 2016 Nicola left teaching to move into the Health and Social Care sector as Operations Director for a local Care Company. Nicola has a strong desire to support others and alongside being a Trustee of Space For You, has run regional Visual Art fundraising projects for Cancer Research, and is currently a Director of YMCA Cornwall and chair of Housing.
